City of Toronto Licensed Dogs and Cats 2013

This map shows the distribution of licensed dogs and cats per capita within the City of Toronto for 2013. The data was provided by Open Data Toronto, with the totals being broken down by Forward Sortation Area. Additionally, FSA boundary files and population breakdowns were taken from Statistics Canada 2011 Census.

Open Source libraries used for displaying this data are: d3.js, d3-tip.js, topojson.js, and leaflet.js. The full source code for this visualization can be found on Github.
